HAMILTON 992B 21 JEWEL 16s MODEL 10 BAR OVER CROWN CASE RAILROAD POCKET WATCH
16 size 21 jewel open face lever-set Grade 992B pocketwatch. Very nice looking example of this high grade railroad watch fronted by a double-sunk enamel “Hamilton Railway Special” dial and housed in a Hamilton Model 10 Bar-Over-Crown case that is marked “Hamilton Railroad” on the crown. Movement serial number is C34039. Running but balance motion is sluggish and I think likely movement hasn’t seen a cleaning and oiling in some time. Very nice looking movement with excellent color and luster with the exception of the balance cock screw which has surface rust and also a small amount of corrosion on the regulator spring. Dial faces up well but has a small edge chip at the lever-set position. Case is very strong with an excellent in hand look and feel.
