Super 1896 SOLID 14 KARAT GOLD Elgin FANCY DIAL Hunting Case Pocket Watch
The Elgin National Watch Company had its birth in 1864, at the time of the US Civil War. In 1874, the company officially changed its name to the Elgin National Watch Company and in 1910 it made its first wrist watch. Watches made by the Elgin National Watch Company, provided they are serviced and kept clean, can accurately keep time no matter what their age may be today. This Size 16 Elgin Hunting Case Pocket Watch is in Fabulous Condition inside and out. The Single Sunk, Fancy Multi-Color Dial has Black Roman Numerals with Blue Steel Spade Hands which are in excellent condtion. The Model 3, Lever Set, Gilt. Movement is a Grade 2, 15 Jewel marked Elgin Nat’l Watch Co. Safety Pinion with the serial number 6350273 dating it to 1896. The movement is running and setting properly and keeping excellent time. The 14 Karat Yellow Gold Hunting Case is in near mint condition. It is stampded Warranted 14K, U. Assay, 6987 on the inside back cover. The hinges close and open properly and the bow is nice and tight. (28 dwt) Has a personalization on the outside cuvette. Will be Actual Calculated. WILL BE INITIATED on the 4th day.
