Antique Waltham 16S Hunting Case Pocket Watch. This antique Waltham hunter is 16 size (case diameter 53 mm). The case is gold filled with moderate wear but relatively little brass. The case has some brass inside the covers – this was a case with heavy gold fill outside, but very thin gold plate inside. The front opens correctly to 90 degrees and closes and latches correctly. The porcelain dial is very nice with a few short hairlines near the edge. The movement is 15 jewels, pendant set, and excellent. Note the crown has to be pulled on pretty hard to set this pendant set watch. This watch runs and keeps reasonable time, but I do not know the history of this watch, so it may need to be serviced.
