This 18 size gold filled, hunting case, railroad grade, adjusted, model 2 or 4, Grade No. 1896 Hampden pocket watch has a 54.75mm case. The case is fully hand engraved with scroll detailing, a bird on a branch on one side, and a plaque with leaves and twigs on the other. The plaque is perfect for personalizing the watch! The white enamel dial has black Roman numerals, a sunk seconds register, blue moon hands and is marked Hampden Watch Co. The dial and crystal are in excellent condition. The inside case is stamped Fahys – Conqueror – No. The movement is stamped Hampden Watch Co. Canton, OHIO – Adjusted – Safety pinion – 17 Jewels – 965087. All screws and jewels are in good condition. Stem wind, lever set. This movement is a bit temperamental and sticks at times, but will run and wind. No guarantee of future performance. This watch is in overall good condition with a solid case that is like new!
