Massive Newport Dueber Watch Case Company COIN Silver Open Case with Thick Glass. The key is included. An Original National Watch Co. Dial in used condition. Dueber Coin Silver Open. Case very early serial number A194. Very Thick Crystal Glass with scratches came with year being in use. Very Clean movement for a watch of 151 years old! Winds and sets as it should. Runs well, keeps time, but was not timed for accuracy and reliability, so I some service may be needed. Newport Coin is trade mark of Dueber Watch Case Mfg. The Duber Watch Case Manufacturing Co. Started in Cincinnati, OH in the 1860s, moving to Newport, KY in the 1874. In 1889 it moved to Canton, OH. The company’s existence ended in 1930. Elgin National Watch Company was founded in 1864, right as the civil war was coming to an end.
