Illinois 18size, 4oz Sterling silver case Pocket Watch 1896 Fancy Enamel dial. Is in very good condition and running strong. 17 jewels lever set movement #1342528. Fancy porcelain dial with hearlines. Model 6, Grade Bunn. 925/1000 sterling silver case. Running strong keeping time. Very good with fine scratches, and few small dings on the side. [Mint] Item has never been used. Excellent Item is like new with very slight signs of use. Very Good Item have some minor signs of previous used but is in great condition without heavy scratches, wear or mechanical issues, may have some fine surface scratches. Good Item has slight surface scratches or slight wear, but looks great. Fair Item shows scratches or weir that is visible. Poor Item is not in perfect working order or damaged. Listed is one of the more beautiful watches in this collection. It runs very well, but as all of these watches they have been in storage for over years 50 years and will need oiling and cleaning. This watch back covering the watch works is glass. The fob is beautiful with an oynx on one side and a polished agate on the other side. An absolutely beautiful watch for any occasion.

This watch will look better in your hand than it does in the pics. A solid example of an early 14 sized American pocket watch in all original condition and running strong. This watch is cased in it’s original, quality Nickel/Silver case (unsigned) identified by it’s unique large pin set, screw on back and snap-on front bezel. Case wear is low for the age with minor, normal surface scratches and marks, but general appearance is well above average. Case diameter is large for a 14 size at approx. The watch winds, sets and runs strong and is keeping good time, as it has been recently serviced. The visually clean, full plate gilt movement appears all original. It’s signed’A. Waltham Mass”Bond St.’Safety Pinion’ and serial number’2961283′, dating it to approx. The Roman Numeral indices, porcelain dial has a sub second hand at 6 o’clock and is signed’A. W. Co’, which is correct for this movement and is hand painted. It is in excellent shape, with one barely visible hairline crack, but no chips. The beveled, bowed glass crystal is HUGE and in equally clean, original condition. This is a very solid watch and running strong…. Working, no test if keeps time. Age circa : 1924 100 years old!!! Size: 43.63 mm. The Buttes Watch Co. Was founded around 1901 by “Henri” Alexandre Jeannin-Rosselet in Buttes Canton Neuchâtel. He previously worked in watchmaking in Fleurier. He registered the brand name BWC in 1905. In 1924 Arthur Charlet took over the company in his birthplace. He was also involved in the company Charlet Bilat & Co. Charlet’s son-in-law Edwin Volkart took over management in 1953, and this is when the company really took off and focused on chronographs. From the beginning, the history of Buttes Watch Co. Was linked to the gold and watch town of Pforzheim in Germany. The first customer in 1924 was Reinhold Reeck. Initially, the focus of production was on pocket watches of all versions of that time for the German market. In addition to Germany, Buttes Watch Co. Opened up other markets in England, Spain, Poland and Hungary. The sales area was later expanded to include the most important European countries including Greece and Turkey. Overseas, the USA, Cuba and Canada were the main markets.
