Columbus S18 Hunter Cased Pocket Watch Transition model EXCELLENT
This is a nice antique Columbus pocket watch from a local estate. It is 18 size, hunter model, stem wind, lever set, serial #33434. The movement is gilt, jeweled, and is a stem wind / key wind transition model. The watch is running strong, but has not been cleaned or serviced. So , I cannot guarantee it to be a reliable timekeeper. The porcelain dial is marked H. Not sure if this was a retail jeweler, or perhaps a railroad inspector. The dial has some fine hairlines. The case is very nice. It is yellow gold filled, and high quality. It carries the Keystone scales case mark. The case has good hinges and case springs. It is chased with designs and florals on both sides. The case is not dented, and not brassed. This is overall and excellent watch.
