Antique 1896 Elgin Pocket Watch-Runs-Dueber Champion Case Marked 14K-Gilt Mov’t
Up for sale is an antique Elgin pocket watch, running, sidewinder. Grade 117, Size 6S, 7 Jewels, with gilt movement. It is in a Dueber Champion Case marked Dueber Champion and 14K. The crystal is intact, roman numerals on the dial marked Elgin. The dial looks like it has a little line, crazing or crack near the 7 o’clock mark that will need to be fixed or repaired if desired. On the movement is marked Elgin Nat’l Watch Co. Along with the serial number 6166790. According to Elgin’s site it was made in 1896. Will most likely need servicing since it probably has been sitting for a long time. Image is part of the description if it is in the image it is part of the description.
