VERY RARE 1903 SOUTH BEND Pocket Watch. I believe this is the 1st run of watches from the South Bend watch Co. Hunters Case with beautiful engraving….. Very Rare Size 6. Run Quantity 1,000, Total Production 1,000. Watch does run but the stem will not set the time…. The front case cover has the #1645194…. The back outer cover reads C. The inter cover read Warranted Crescent 25 years #1645194. Back of the watch reads South Bend Watch Co. Production year of the movement within +/- 3 years>. Hunting: The stem is at the 3:00 position, and the movement is meant to be mounted in a case that has a covering over the face. “Sidewinders” are hunting movements in openface cases.
