Offered is a 6s Elgin solid gold pocket watch for parts or repair. The case is marked only with a lion hallmark and serial number; the front cover is loose, it is broken at the hinge tubes on the case body (see pics) – this can be repaired by a competent jeweler. The case is solid gold, and holds well with 10K acid, 14K acid leaves a stain – there is some of this visible on the front cover. Case without springs, stem, crown, screws, bezel or crystal weighs 19.4 grams. The dial is in good condition, original hands. Movement not currently running, it’s overbanked at a minimum.
