Rare Quadruple Cased Verge Fusee Edward Prior Turkish Market Pocket Watch c. This listing is for rare quadruple cased pocket watch by Edward Prior, London. Made for the Turkish market c. Museum quality, complete, in excellent condition and good working order. It comes complete with its original 4 cases. Outer wooden leather clad case, tortoise shell & silver case and then silver pair case. Inner silver cases are hallmarked for London 1818. The outer case is in remarkably good condition considering its age, some wear the base. The tortoise shell case is also in great condition with some very minor losses to the shell and pins. Inner silver pair cases are in excellent condition. Please study the pictures (please message me if you’d like some more pics). The watch has an English verge fusee, chain driven movement. Engraved balance cock and steel regulator disk Movement signed Ed’w Prior, London. The movement is working well and runs the full length of the chain. The original white enamel dial is in great condition for its age, signed “Edward Prior, London”. Gold beetle poker hands. Bullseye glass in good order – a couple of surface marks. In its outer case the watch measures approx 85mm across, 47mm deep and weighs 249. The movement has been removed from the case to photograph. All my watches are tested on a flat surface.
