The gilded full plate movement is maker signed and serial numbered 206. The silver pair cases are in very good condition with their original bow and pendant, they carry matching hallmarks for London 1742 with the case makers mark EL Edward Leeming 24 Giltspur St. The white enamel dial has Black Roman hour numerals, black Arabic minute numerals and beetle & poker hands, it is one of the earliest examples of an enamel dial on an English watch. The outer case measures 50mm (approx 2) in diameter and the combined weight including movement is 116.5 grammes (4.1ozs). Condition: Both matching cases are original to the movement and have no dents or dings, the covers open and close correctly with good strong hinges. The dial has a faint hairline, with tiny chip at 6, the beetle and poker hands and bullseye crystal are in good order. The movement is in strong working order and keeps to good verge time.
