Pocket Watch Case

A GOOD ANTIQUE LARGE EIGHT DAY GOLIATH SWISS POCKET WATCH & TRAVEL CASE. A very nice, antique, 8 Day “Goliath” large oversized Pocket Watch, complete with the original fitted travel case. The watch case is in good condition. It is stamped “Argentan” to signify the case is made from an alloy, also referred to as “Nickel Silver”, it is a copper/nickel alloy that has the appearance of silver but is far more durable. Also stamped “Swiss made” alongside the serial number. The Dial is in good condition, with the hours in Arabic numerals and a sub-seconds dial at six o’clock. Signed “Swiss made” and “8 Days”. The Swiss made “8 Day” movement is in good condition and working order. Also signed “Swiss made”. There is also “Brevet” alongside the Swiss Federal Cross and number 33236 – this indicates that a patent was granted. The movement is running well. The watch is complete with the original fitted, leather covered, travel case. The travel case in good condition but with scuffs to the leather as can be expected – see photos.
