This is a very rare enamel gilt and shagreen (shark skin) outer case for a late 17th or early 18th century verge pocket watch. I have taken pictures with the digital vernier so you can see the sizes to see if your watch will fit this outer case. T he case has an enamel panel to the back and green studded sharkskin to the case ribs. The shagreen is mostly intact and in remarkable condition for a case that is nearly 300 years old. This would be great to complete a early repeater or similar verge pocket watch. G o o d l u c k b i d d i n g.
