Antique Pair Cased Verge Champleve Dial Pocket Watch. Signed Ewd Bayley, London, circa 1740. Gilt fusee movement signed and numbered 105, square baluster pillars, silver champleve dial with Roman and Arabic numerals signed John Ballard (probably the first owner), arcaded minute track, beetle and poker hands. Both cases with maker’s mark GB for George Bruvet & a Lion for sterling silver. Inner case numbered 105, 49mm wide see Photo’s. Both cases with small surface scratches, outer case has minor dents, outer case bezel is slightly springing when closed. The watch has a Later glass, dial with small scratches, winding smoothly, movement in going order. As with all vintage watches, no claims are made regarding accuracy of time keeping.
