1899 Hamilton Pocket Watch – Size 18- 17 Jewels – Heavy Case – Thick Glass Crystal. Most pocket watches are over 100 years old and have over 300 parts. Most are wound with a main spring. These hundred year old springs can break at anytime. Because of their age you must become familiar with their usage, so as not to damage them. Many have been in my collection for 30 years and are working fine, unless otherwise stated. Artisans and watchmakers produced these beautiful examples of time history. Even those that do not run are still treasured. There are few watchmakers still in existence to repair these timekeepers and time capsules.
