Small Antique Silver Pair Cased Verge Pocket Watch. Signed Geo Taylor London 1782. Needs some work, not presently working but complete. Complete with winding key. The gilt fusee movement with verge escapement is signed and numbered 8969. With square baluster pillars. Enamel convex dial with Arabic and Roman numerals and. Steel beetle and poker hands, enclosed under a bulls eye, domed glass. Both cases with the London hallmark for 1782 and maker’s mark IR. The outer case is 50mm in diameter. In the back of the outer case are four watchmakers repair labels the earliest one dated 1830 from Lerwick in the Shetland Islands. It is marked for a Mr A Smith, North Docks August 2 1830.
