A beautiful solid silver gents pair cased pocket watch with a Masonic Painted Dial. It will date by the London hallmarks to circa 1817 and made by J. Crofswell, also of London. The English Verge movement with Fusee chain drive has nice bright original gold gilding as it has recently been serviced, (cleaned and oiled). It it running with a good balance swing for a 200 year old watch and has been keeping good time over the past few days lying on my desk. There is a winding and setting key included. The larger than normal solid silver pair case measures 60mm diameter approx. Both cases are in very good condition with strong hinges and all covers close well. It has a beautifully painted Masonic dial with black Roman numerals. The solid gold “hand made” hands are possibly original with a clear high dome “bulls eye” crystal glass. This is a stunning silver pocket watch for the serious collector or for occasional use. Please note that max.
