Extremely rare ORIGINAL LEATHER cover with golden ornamental nail decoration, very few of them missing at the side. Very early and technically highly interesting oignon movement. High Egyptian pillars, mock pendulum. Rare GLAZED protection device for the balance. Still with central winding. Enameled cartouches dial (one cartouche restored). Pink gilt hand, intact and in very rare condition. The technical design of this Oignon is exceptionally rare. Jean Hommet became master in Paris in 1690 and was probably active until 1704. A pendulum pob attached to the balance of this timepiece continuously moves left and right when the clock is running. This simple but ingenious achievement which took place in the 18th century impresses the viewer even today!!! USED ITEM WITH SIGNS OF WEAR.
