We offer for your consideration this Antique “Waltham” P. This pocket watch is Non-operational. This watch is offered for restoration or parts. This is an Antique 1907 Waltham P. Bartlett open face hunter pocket watch. The case is heavy duty, the watch case measures approximately 54 mm in diameter/17 mm in thickness, front to back. The case is silver in color and is in very good condition. The stamp indicates that it is. “Silveroid” a proprietary Nickel alloy. But contrary to the names implication, this alloy contains no silver. The front bezel is screw set. The crystal has a low/narrow beveled edge, somewhat curved top, and is in well used condition. The crystal is heavily scratched. The back case cover is screw set, and has an engraving of an steam locomotive. The locomotive engraving has softened over the years, but it is still visible. The case has a nice thick radius shoulder. There is a small dimple dent on the case edge towards the back, it is located right between 4 & 5 o’clock positions. The dial of this watch is white porcelain enamel, sunk seconds dial, with fine line roman numerals. Marking the 12 hours. Along the outside the minutes are indicated with black ticks set borderless track, with heavier ticks at the five minute intervals. On the outside of the tick track there are small red arabic numerals set at the five minute intervals. The dial is in very good condition with no issues to report. The hands are mixed in style, the minute hand is spade style, blued steel. The hour hand is looks to be a combination of styles, diamond, and kite. It too is blued steel. The sweep seconds hand has its own dial and has a small arrowhead shaped aft end. After 115 years, this watch is still a nice looking timepiece and worth some tlc. Maker:American Waltham Watch Co. This watchworks is serial No. Date of manufacture approximately:1907. Finish:Nickel with fancy damaskeening. Maker:Keystone watch case company. The case is stamped with a arched cartouche containing “KEYSTONE” over a horizontal cartouche containing “WATCHCASE” Over the Keystone logo, over “GUARANTEED over a pointed ellipse containing “SILVERROID” over “GENUINE wit e serial number below. The serial Number is “38751″. Note: This case is solid Nickel alloy, so it can be polished bright without fear of burn through.
