1870 Waltham PS Bartlett Model 1857 Key Wind Pocket Watch 18S Coin Silver Case
All photographs are part of the description. We are not watchmakers, collectors or jewelers. All of our watches and jewelry is pre-owned from estates. Here is an early key wound American Waltham PS Bartlett Pocket Watch in Coin Silver made in or about 1870. It measures 60.5 millimeters wide and is 21 millimeters thick. The movement measures 43.88 millimeters. It is in excellent pre-owned condition. The crystal is original and is very thick. The little black squiggly lines you see on the dial are actually shadows of the scratches on the crystal, which can probably be polished out if you prefer. They actually look much worse in the photos. There is a small repair to the dial, at the 9 hour mark, The case has a few shallow dents, the checking on the sides is worn, as is the cartouche on back. If it was personalized, it has worn off. The watch runs as you can see in the video. I do not know if it keeps time, or how long it will run. It does come with a key. The case is marked on the inside with a G inside a Shield, over Warranted, over Coin. The movement is marked P. Bartlett, Waltham, Mass, Fogg’s Patent, and has the serial number 414637, indicating it was made in 1970. Please review the photos for a complete description.
