Antique English pocket watch, key wind movement by John Forrest, London, the hinged gilt finish movement says serial no. 84892, white dial with black Roman chapters, gilt hands, inset second hand dial with blued hand, dial says Chronometer Maker to the Admiralty, John Forrest, London, mounted in a sterling silver swing out, open face case, the back cover has ornate Victorian engraved design with vermeil (gold-plated) garter motif, the center cartouche is monogrammed in script letters, possibly “JC”, hallmarked with the lion (sterling) city mark for Chester, date letter F in cartouche for 1906, silversmith maker’s initials J.
