FROM ESTATE OF A LONG TIME WATCH COLLECTOR! An antique size 16s Hamilton Watch Co. 992 Railroad Approved pocket watch. Watch Grade is 992, Model 2, 21 jewel, lever set movement with ruby & sapphire jewels. This watch has a 3/4 plate, openface movement with a Breguet hairspring, Reed regulator and sapphire pallet jewe. Movement is very clean and has a nickel finish in parallel bars pattern with gold gilt lettering. Watch adjusts to temperature and five positions. This watch has an immaculate, bright white, reproduction double-sunk dial, with a second hand register and azure blue spade watch hands. Montgomery dial features fancy Arabic numerals and is marked Hamilton Railway Special. Watch winds and sets easily. The watch was manufactured circa 1920 with movement Serial Number: 1512246. The movement is extremely clean and watch keeps good time. Watch is encased in a stainless steel Star Watch Case Co. Screw back and bezel case (Serial number: 8429448) with a smooth polished back. Case is almost immaculate with only minor scratches consistent with light and careful use. Acrylic crystal is in very nice condition with minimal scratches. Watch measures 50.5 mm in diameter X 62 mm long (at bow) X 14.62 mm thick (crystal included). This is a high grade antique Hamilton railroad approved watch in very nice condition, with many years of service remaining. Watch has not been timed for accuracy and current state of operation and/or running can not be guaranteed as items are used and have not been mechanically serviced.
