Rare 1868 Tremont Pocket Watch in a Coin Silver Hunting Case! This short-lived American watc. Is housed in a quad-hinged, 3 oz. Coin silver, 18s, hunter case! It has a light grey patina (we never polish our finds), has a half round coin edge center frame, an. Shield/ floral cartouche upon the front cover and a centered roundel on the back cover; both surrounded by an engine-turned. Warranteed, Coin Silver, Q77. While the back cover. Reverse is stamped, “Q77″. This LOW numbered case exhibits numerous small sratches and impression commererate with its age. Long (including bail) x 2.25 diameter x 5/8. The front, back covers, bezel and dust cover are all hinged, and open crisply with no additional play. The entire watch, case and movement weigh 5.67 ounces. The glass crystal is present. The watch has a beautiful signed. White, baked glass enamel single-sunk dial with Black Roman numerals, with it’s original cobalt blue hands! Take note of the scarce’moon-style’ seconds hand.
