It is a manual wind pocket. With an original Elgin. Mechanical movement, grade 289, 7 Jewels. Model 2, 6s, class 115, unadjusted, sub second hand, made in U. Original white ceramic dial featuring black Roman Numerals, black minute track (with red Arabic Numerals every 5min) and blue steel matching hands. The sub second is located at 6 o’clock. Another beautiful watch from my long time collection. This 1924 Model 2 HAMILTON 992 in a gorgeous period correct model A case is truly the quintessential American Railroad watch. The adjustment screw on the regulator spring is broken off!! Now it keeps Railroad time easily. Just as is, I will include a 992 parts watch IF you want to make easy repair (my old hands are just to shaky to even attempt). No service needed here! Just wind and enjoy! Covers screw on and off easily, nice crown firm bow. Runs long, over 48 hours (I forget sometimes to wind). Just a sweet watch and a great investment!
